We have found out today that SUZI'S DECISION is not coming back to the yard and has been sent to Mark Johnston. We are obviously very disappointed to lose a filly that cost 2500 guineas as a yearling that we have made into a filly rated 107 and the winner of two Listed races and over 80,000 in prize money.

As our all our owners were aware, on the way back from Haydock when she won a Listed race at the end of May, Suzi's Decision jumped over the partition of the horsebox and ended up trapped in the groom's compartment. With the help of the Fire Brigade and at considerable risk to himself, Paul got her free and back to Newmarket Equine Hospital for treatment of her superficial injuries. She then returned to Greenstead Hall Stud (home of owner Steven Gay) for recuperation. She was expected to make a full recovery for return to training now. This was an unfortunate unexplained event which happened for no reason whatsover, as she was an experienced traveller and this was confirmed by an independent expert appointed by the insurance company.

The owner of the horse Steven Gay and his son James of Greenstead Hall Racing have not even had the decency to inform us, neither has Mark Johnston had the courtesy to contact us. For the record, Mark Johnston has trained 5 horses from yearlings to race for Steven Gay and they have won prize money of 12,000.

We had great plans to further her career in Group races both here and abroad and unfortunately now will not get the chance. Everyone at the yard wishes the filly well.
